There is a famous saying in the democracy, which goes like no one else above the people and any administration that tries to overrule this will face the lethal consequences. The same is being observed in the neighbouring country of Nepal as the country’s political scenario has taken a shocking twist.

In the attached picture in this article, we get to see the Nepal parliament on absolute fire as the protesting groups have taken severe action against the political body.

The image captures Nepal's Parliament engulfed in flames and smoke, linked to escalating protests sparked by a recently lifted social media ban.

The public unrest in Nepal stems from deep-seated issues, including 82% of the workforce engaged in informal employment and pervasive corruption allegations against leaders. Reports from September 8, 2025, show security forces using live ammunition and tear gas, signaling a significant escalation.

In this context, Prime Minister of Nepal, K. P. Sharma Oli, has resigned amid widespread protests against government corruption. This came shortly after the Parliament of Nepal was set on fire and also the official residence of the Prime Minister was also set ablaze.

The administration will now have to find an amicable solution to this burning issue as there is the need for the formation of a new government and a new Prime Minister.
