The educational system has changed compared to earlier. A few private schools are offering foundation courses at an early age. The preparations for IIT will begin even before the boards. For this they will be put under additional coaching. However there is a big criticism that children are sent to school at an early age.

But this won't be happening from now on as the Centre imposed new rules. The new guidelines say that before attaining the age of six years kids cannot be allowed to enroll in class 1st. The Union government had written on this to the States and Union Territories.

The guidelines issued under the NEP 2020,RTE Act 2009, children should be of the age of six years to be in class 1.The decision was communicated to the states and union territories on the same. But now the guidelines were asked to be implemented without any fail.

The new decision was asked to be implemented in the 2024-2025 academic year. With this children who are below the age of six years would not be allowed to enter class 1 across the nation.

The Centre said that the decision was taken after the recommendations were made under the National Educational Policy 2020 which says that if students finish class 1 and 2 at the age of eight and it derives a good outcome.

As the academic year starts in a few months the directives were given to the states and union territories to implement the new guidelines which were proposed by the NEP 2020 to make the foundation of children education strong.
