For many tickets, now, the software industry has been providing stable and solid employment opportunities to the general public. This is one of the main reasons why the software industry had been booming with so many active participants.

The fundamental factor to be noted here is that the software industry was largely built on the deaf efforts of the Indian community.

Needless to say, the Indian community had produced some of the best software engineers in terms of volume and also skills for the last couple of decades.

However, drastic changes in the industry due to the alignment with AI has been changing the entire game for now. We have arrived at a point where the software industry itself is in a space of bother, and this is very bad news to the Indian community that is largely dependent on it.

For now, we have the case of a leading company like Oracle which is reportedly planning another round of global layoffs, potentially affecting 7,000 to 10,000 employees.

This move is part of a broader cost-cutting strategy as the company invests heavily in AI and cloud infrastructure. These potential cuts follow a significant reduction of approximately 21,000 jobs over the past fiscal year.

There is a chance that Oracle could be firing several hundreds, or possibly even thousands of Indian workers in this operation. This could be pretty bad news to the Indian community globally as well.
