One of the leading tech companies in the world, Oracle had been facing a very problematic situation in the recent past. The company has been very hard to reduce the number of employees that have been working with them.

The company had already announced as many as 21,000 job cuts recently as the headcount dropped significantly in a double digit margin globally.

Now, the latest news is that Oracle is planning another round of layoffs this month, on top of the 21,000 jobs it already cut last year, which was a big drop in headcount.

On the other hand, it must also be kept in mind that Oracle spent $55.7 billion on AI data centers last year, up from $21 billion, and burned through $23.7 billion more cash than it made.

It is evident that Oracle is investing heavily in the AI infrastructure and the company is starting to with the same. However, it is the human workforce who is having to face brunt of the attack as they are getting downsized drastically.

This has been the case with several leading companies across the globe in the recent past, and this case with Oracle is not going to be significantly different either.

Oracle has been one of the global giants when it comes to providing software jobs to people, including freshers and experienced folk. So this major giant facing this situation is not going to be good news to the entire industry itself.
