Paul Polio Who Lived In Iron Lung For 7 Decades Is No More!

Paul Alexander aka Polio Paul Who lived inside the Iron Lung for a few decades is no more. The famous lawyer lived with the specially designed iron lung for 70 years and breathed his last. He was infected with Polio in his childhood and had to live inside the iron lung.

Thanks to the advancements in medicine we as the world have managed to bring the poliovirus or Polio under control. Polio drops or vaccines are given to kids every year up to a certain age. But the same was not the case a few decades back. If infected then children had to deal with many issues.

Back in the early 50s, Polio was widely prevalent in the US. Thousands of people were infected and Paul Alexander was also infected when he was just 6 years old. Born in 1946, he was infected with Polio in 1952.

After he was diagnosed with Polio, Paul Alexander faced many issues and was paralyzed from the neck to the legs. Due to the condition, he could not even take a breath and was admitted to the hospital. Understanding his situation the doctors equipped him with an iron lung.

He lived inside the iron lung over the years. This made him get the tagline of Polio Paul and The Man In The Iron Lung. Living inside the iron lung did not stop him from chasing his dreams.Paul went to college and became a lawyer. Not just a lawyer he is also a famous author.
