Thanks to the growth in technology and the ability to use it, we are able to see wonders in medical history. Doctors are making wonders in treatment and treating patients. On many occasions, we have seen doctors performing a few life-saving surgeries giving them another chance to live.

Organ Donor is a popular term that talks about the process of giving a chance to others to live by using the body organs of a dead person. However, most people don't know the concept while a few families won't say yes to the donation of organs due to their inhibitions.

In what could be a big step in fighting the scarcity of organ donors, a pig's kidney was successfully transplanted in a human body and the person who received the kidney is doing fine. It's been over one month since the transplantation was performed and the person is doing fine.

This successful transplantation was performed in the United States. A 57-year-old person is a brain-dead man and the doctors took permission from his family members and transplanted a pig kidney. He is doing fine now. It is said that the genetically modified pig's kidney is working better than his own kidney.

Dr. Robert Montgomery, director of NYU Langone's transplant institute who took care of the process expressed his happiness on this and said that this can be a big step in the transplantation process.

Right after the transplantation, the kidney produced urine which is seen as a big step in the process to transplant animal organs to humans to have a better life.
