As promised he brought the flagship schemes aimed at the poor and he is implementing them without giving any excuses. The Jagan government set up a benchmark in implementing welfare schemes.
When the Chief Minister is doing so much for the people, the opposition parties are trying to throw mud saying that the schemes would impact the economy. They are trying to paint an opinion that they are very concerned about the people. But political observers say that the parties are worried that Jagan is getting a good image among the people.
No matter what others are saying, Jagan is going forward with the schemes. The same schemes are showing big results and people are eating its fruits. This is not said by the party leadership or the party leaders, the Indian government’s think tank NITI Aayog spoke highly about the impact.
NITI Aayog said that Multidimensional Poverty has come down in Andhra Pradesh. The poverty percentage came down in both rural and urban areas which is a piece of good news. This is an example of the mark Jagan left on the state as the Chief Minister in just four years.
As per the NITI Aayog data, poverty in the state stood at 11.7 percent in 2016. Cut to 2021, it came down to just 6.06 percent. While poverty in rural areas was 14.72 percent in 2016, it is just 7.71 percent in 2021. Talking about the Urban area, the poverty came down to 2.20 percent from 4.63 percent.
When we talk about development, many feel that building big buildings and having big structures are the parameters. But lending a helping hand to the poor and improving their standards is the real development. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is doing the same. The welfare schemes are covering almost section of society.
The welfare schemes implemented by the YS Jagan government have a big role in this. Free education and healthcare are provided and nutritious food is provided to the children. Pregnant women are also covered in the schemes. All these schemes showed their impact.
