Indians pinned high hopes that Praggnanandhaa would win the World Cup. But he fell short of the win as he lost two back-to-back games. Magnus Carlsen, who is ranked World No.1 was dominated by Praggnanandhaa for a few minutes. But Carlsen turned the tables around.

Magnus Carlsen made sure that he stayed ahead of Praggnanandhaa and put pressure on him. His tactics helped him win the game against Praggnanandhaa. Carlsen did not have a World Cup trophy to his name despite the World No.1 rank.

Now he added the World Cup trophy to his name with the recent win. Wishes are pouring in for the winner. Praggnanandhaa is also attracting praise for reaching the finals and standing as the runner-up.

When we talk about sports, only Cricket, Football and others come to our mind. But Chess is not something many people take up. Despite this, India managed to produce players like Viswanathan Anand and now Praggnanandhaa. Both players managed to reach the finals.
