Speaking at a literature festival in Kozhikode, the 58-year-old actor revealed that three political parties had approached him for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
However, Prakash emphasized that they were interested in him not for his ideology but because he is a critic of the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also revealed that for the same reason, he switched off his phone with the pressure mounting on him to join their parties.
Prakash Raj, who unsuccessfully contested as an independent candidate from Bengaluru Central in the 2019 general elections, mentioned he is solely used merely as a 'Modi basher.'
Addressing whether he hates Modi, Prakash Raj clarified that he doesn't hate him personally but is advocating for accountability. He highlighted the importance of elected officials doing their job, reminding them that citizens are taxpayers who deserve proper representation.
On the work front, Prakash Raj was last seen in the Sankranthi release, Guntur Kaaram, starring Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.
