Wonder what these ratios and these stats are? This is political math and these numbers are quite important. It would be a problem if the equations were not looked into. This ratio refers to the viewership. Assembly sessions in AP and Telangana were started simultaneously in the fourth week of July.

The AP Assembly worked for just five days. Even the Budget was also not tabled in the House. While the AP Assembly was occupied with the White Papers, the Telangana Assembly has been running with Budget and related matters.

The Telangana Budget sessions recorded a rare record. The session lasted till midnight of the second day and lasted over 18 hours. It's a rare feat that the sessions lasted for a long time. We don't see such a long session in the Assembly usually.

Talking about AP Assembly the sessions lasted for 17 hours in five working days. On the other hand, Telangana recorded more working hours than AP. The Assembly session in AP was one-sided as the alliance had 164 members. YCP which has just 11 seats missed the sessions.

The session lasted like a one-sided one. The observers say that the sessions lasted normally without any intensity. Like how we need two hands to clap, the debates will be meaningful if the opposition also stays in the house. While the YCP is staying away from the house saying that it was denied the opposition status, the alliance leaders are making the party even more weak by saying that YCP chief Jagan is just an MLA.

There is criticism that the alliance government almost bulldozed the AP Assembly session. Coming to Telangana Assembly the situation is different. Not just the opposition BRS, CPI which has just one seat is also getting chances to speak in the House.

Many say that Revanth Reddy who has less experience than Chandrababu is showing his stature. He is implementing the idea that the debates will be good if there is opposition in the House. The ruling Congress is responding to every issue the opposition is raising and giving the answers. Usually, such sessions create an interest among the people. The ratings say that people are interested in watching Telangana Assembly sessions.

What the Ruling party speaks in the House and how the opposition reacts are the aspects that make the Assembly session watchable. With no opposition in the AP Assembly, the sessions lacked interest. BRS is a strong opposition in Telangana. Viewers feel that the Revanth Reddy government ran the session interesting by answering almost every query.

The observers say that the viewership of Telangana and AP stand at 90:10 respectively and this shows the difference between the two Assemblies. We have to see if this trend continues or if the alliance invites the opposition to the sessions. The presence of both the ruling and opposition sides gives completeness to the House. Only the ruling side’s presence won't excite the viewers. Discussion on public issues would also go down. Let us wait and see how the Assembly sessions in AP would be.
