Leaders leaving the party makes the party weak sometimes. Rubbing salt into wounds a former Minister left the party which is dealing with defeat.
Former Minister Ravela Kishore Babu left the YCP and sent his resignation to the party chief. This comes days after the YCP suffered a big defeat in the general elections. Ravela is the first leader to leave the party post the big defeat.
As per Eenadu Ravela made some key comments on YSRCP and TDP. He said that he joined the YCP with the opinion that SC, ST, BC, and Minority power is possible only with the party. People ignored the party in the elections and blessed the alliance as Chandrababu can guarantee the welfare and overall development of the state.
Giving his views on SC categorization, the former Minister said that he is confident of finding a solution to this soon. With Ravela talking highly about the alliance a discussion had started on whether he would take the TDP route and return to the party in which he was part of once.
After YCP recorded a big defeat there were reports that the leaders might leave the party and reach out to the winning side. Leaders showing interest in the ruling side is not new. We have seen this after the 2014 elections and 2019 elections. We might see the same again.
When YCP was in opposition in Andhra Pradesh a bunch of MLAs joined the then ruling TDP. After TDP lost the elections a few leaders joined YCP and leaders like Vallabhaneni Vamsi supported the YCP. Now we have to see what would be the scenario in 2024 in the state.
