Without any doubt, Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) has a strong fanbase. Despite not winning a single trophy, the franchise gets unmatched love from the fans. Bengaluru stadium turns red whenever the team has matches in the city. Every Year fans support the team to lift the trophy.

IPL was started in 2008 and RCB could not lift at least one trophy. The Ee Sala Cup Namde slogan attracts jokes and memes every year. Putting the memes to rest RCB lifted the trophy for the first time.

However, it was the Women’s team that won the trophy. The Smriti Mandhana-led RCB created a sensation. After the team won the title social media saw a flood of posts appreciating the team. The pressure on the RCB men’s team increased more now.

As the Cherry On Top of the Cake, RCB added another feather to its cap by beating the five-time winner Mumbai Indians. RCB emerged as the franchise with second second-highest followers on Instagram. CSK is at the top place.

After the maiden win, RCB saw the followers count increasing massively. As a result, RCB beat Mumbai Indians to clinch the second place. While RCB’s follower count reached 12.7 million, Mumbai Indians have 12.6 million followers. On the other hand, CSK is at the top place with 14.1 million.

Fans celebrated the big win by increasing the follower count to second place. Given the happiness of the fans, it would not be a wonder if the team gives tough competition to CSK and even beats it.

RCB would have not beaten MI if not for the anger of the fans. MI took a daring decision by replacing Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as the skipper. The five-time trophy winner was placed by the management.

MI fans could not digest the same. They asked how the management could remove a successful skipper under whom the team won five titles. In a bid to show their anger, they unfollowed the handle. MI had to face the heat from the fans of Rohit Sharma as lakhs of fans unfollowed the handle.
