The grand old Congress party came to power in Telangana in the recent elections. The party gave its best efforts in the campaign. The election promises the party made played a key role in this. On the line of Karnataka, the party went for big election promises named the six guarantees which made the differences in elections.

After the Congress party came to power there were many doubts on how the party would implement them given the financial burden. No matter what others are saying, the Congress is busy implementing them. At regular intervals the party has been implementing the guarantees.

Now the party launched two more guarantees. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched Mahalakshmi & Gruha Jyoti schemes at the Secretariat. Under the schemes the beneficiaries would be given the benefits.

Talking about the Gruha Jyothi Scheme, it was announced to offer 200 units of free electricity monthly to the residents. Those who are eligible under the schemes need not pay the current bill if they consume below 200 units.

On the other hand the Mahalakshmi scheme was also launched under which the domestic cylinder will be given Rs 500 per a unit.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka made crucial comments on the schemes. He said that all the eligible beneficiaries would be given free current in the state and the beneficiaries will get zero bill in March. He also said that those who are eligible and did not apply for the schemes can apply again. By offering a gas cylinder per Rs 500, women would get a big relief, he said.

The Congress party already implemented two schemes and the count of guarantees went up to four. Earlier Congress implemented free bus travel for women and increasing the limit of Arogyasri health insurance scheme to Rs 10 lakhs from existing Rs 5 lakhs.
