Days After Son, India’s Richest Woman Enters BJP Fold!

She is the richest woman in the country and served as the Minister earlier. Now she is in the news as she joined the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. This comes days after her son joined the BJP and was announced as the candidate. Days after resigning from the Congress party she joined the saffron party.

Savitri Jindal, the richest woman in India joined the BJP in the presence of big leaders like Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and former CM Manohar Lal Khattar. She took to social media to share the news of being a part of the party.

Recently her son Naveen Jindal joined the BJP and he was announced as the candidate from the Kurukshetra seat. He was the MP from the seat for ten years.

While the chances of Savitri Jindal who is 84 getting a ticket are very slim, many say that the family changing their loyalties to BJP would be a big blow. The Jindal family is rich and has a long-standing association with the Congress. While she served as the Minister her son was the MP.

BJP is strong in Haryana as it came to power for two terms. Even in the Lok Sabha polls, BJP won all the 10 seats in Haryana in 2019. In the upcoming elections, BJP is expected to win eight to ten seats which is an example of its strength.

The Jindal family joined the BJP at a time when there is talk that things might not be going well between the leaders in Haryana. Manohar Lal Khattar resigning and Nayab Singh Saini getting appointed as CM is cited as an example.
