It's been a long time since India lifted the ICC trophy. India's luck with the trophies drained with Mahendra Singh Dhoni stepping down. After Dhoni bid goodbye to captaincy, two skippers were changed. First, Virat Kohli was made the captain and then Hitman Rohit Sharma replaced him.

But the upcoming 2023 World Cup is carrying a lot of hype with fans confident that the tournament would end the drought. Fans are even drawing comparisons between the 2011 edition of the World Cup and the 2023 edition. India is the host of both events.

Ahead of the World Cup tournament, veteran Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar made some blistering comments. In his recent interaction, he said that defeating India in India is very difficult and he has a few reasons for this.

Comparing both India and Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar said that both teams have a good bowling attack, but Pakistan is lagging in spin and there is no bowling-allrounder in the team.

There is nothing wrong with what he said. Shadab Khan is a good bowler and he alone cannot take the load of the spin department. But the situation is different with India, which has a pool of talent in spin.

Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav are picked for the squad. They can also come in handy with the bat. They are familiar with the Indian pitches and can make opponent batsmen dance to their tunes.

Talking about bowling all-rounders we have Hardik Pandya (Vice-captain) and Shardul Thakur. The other bowlers we have can bat as well. This is the area where Pakistan is looking weak.

Pakistan is blessed with a lethal bowling attack-Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf. They have been instrumental in handing their team many wins. If they can get going then no batting lineup can take the heat.

In this area, India has Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj. Bumrah will be the leader of the pace attack and Siraj can swing the ball. Shami will also come in handy with his trademark bowling. We have to see what magic the Indian bowling attack can create.
