This was evident in the case of the recent election when the party, in alliance with NDA stormed to power by winning 164 out of the 175 MLA seats in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.
In this context, TDP has now created history by becoming the first party in the history of Indian politics to enroll 50 lakh members in just 29 days.
The Telugu Desam Party which has a strong structural integrity is now in the record books by enrolling 50 lakh members in such a short period of time. This is an unprecedented record of epic proportions.
TDP’s working president and its scion Nara Lokesh, as the General Secretary of the party, played a pivotal role in the campaign, fostering trust and strengthening the bond between karyakarthas and the party leadership. He was with the cadre all along and is now an integral part of this membership drive.
If we roll back the memory to 2014, Nara Lokesh introduced life insurance and other welfare benefits for TDP members, making TDP the only political party in India to offer such security to its members. This is clearly showing positive effects on the membership drive now.
As per ground level reports, the enrolment drive witnessed overwhelming participation from grassroots workers, highlighting the party’s deep connection with its cadre and the public. Needless to say, this milestone reflects the immense trust and confidence people have in TDP’s vision and leadership.
With the current momentum, TDP predicts reaching 1 crore enrolments, setting a new benchmark in Indian political history. While TDP is already apart from the rest with its massive drive, attaining 1 crore memberships would make the yellow brigade a formidable force in Indian political demographic.
