As per the media reports, CID has been conducting raids at the residence of AP Beverages Department MD Vasudeva Reddy in Hyderabad since morning.
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Jun 2024 10:13 AM GMTThe grand old Telugu Desam Party made a historic comeback. The party which was restricted to just 23 seats in the last elections won 160 seats along with the alliance. TDP won over 130 seats alone. The stage is set for the new government to be formed. It is said that Chandrababu Naidu might take oath as the new Chief Minister.
Even before coming to power the Telugu Desam Party swung into action and aimed at Target one. CID was brought into action to raid the houses of a big name. The agency has been raiding the house of the big name since morning and crucial documents are being examined.
As per the media reports, CID has been conducting raids at the residence of AP Beverages Department MD Vasudeva Reddy in Hyderabad since morning. This can be dubbed as a shocking development as no one predicted such a thing.
What happened can be seen as the first target from the TDP after the power change. There was an opinion that the TDP would swing into action to look into the alleged irregularities that might have happened in the previous term. Those who had an opinion on this might have felt that this would happen after TDP comes into power.
But TDP did not waste any time and asked CID to do the job. We might get more information on this once the agency finishes the raids and finds any evidence. The raids can be viewed as the first major step in fighting the liquor policy.
It is known that the liquor policy is quite controversial in AP. YCP which came to power saying that it will ban liquor brought new brands. The reason the party gave is that by increasing the price they would keep people away from drinking habits.
Another strong allegation against liquor sales is that no online payments are allowed reportedly and those who want to get liquor should pay cash.TDP, Janasena and BJP targeted the YCP on this and asked why online payments are not allowed.
It will be a sensational thing if any key evidence can be found in the raids. All eyes are on the raids to see what the CID can find. Let us wait and see.
