Having suffered a big defeat in the elections, the Telugu Desam Party wants to bounce back. For this, the party announced an alliance with Janasena. Both parties will walk together in the elections. The first list of candidates of TDP and Janasena was announced. TDP was allocated 94 seats.

The first list is a mix of shocks and unexpected calls. First-time candidates and leaders who won consecutive elections were also given tickets. This came as a big shock to the aspirants and the party supporters too.

As if that is not enough the seniors were not given a place in the first list. The likes of Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and others could not get a ticket in the first list. With this, all the attention is on the second list now.

Now it is said that Surveys would decide the candidates list in the second list. Reports say that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu called for the surveys and those who get good marks will make it to the final cut and the rest will have to wait.

Understanding the candidate's image is very crucial. What the locals think about him or her and what the voters' mood is very crucial. If the candidate has a bad image and no good reputation then they will not win the elections no matter what.

These surveys are like mirrors and reflect the ground reality. Those who have a good reputation would get a ticket. Moreover, the party cannot take any risk this time as it wants to take no risk.

While TDP’s interest in knowing the public pulse is one reason the rough fight for the seat between the leaders of TDP and Janasena is another reason, say the reports. If we take the Rajahmundry Rural seat as an example, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary of TDP and Kandula Durgesh of Janasena are eyeing the seat.
