Big Blow To TDP: Telangana Chief To Take BRS Route?

Telugu Desam Party still has some presence in Telangana. For some years, the party stopped focusing on the state due to various reasons. Now the party is gearing up to contest the upcoming general elections in Telangana. The list of candidates is expected to be announced soon.

Former MLC Kasani Gyaneshwar Mudiraj is leading the party as the state chief. Under his leadership, the party is going aggressively. Events are held to show that the party has a good presence here even after the state bifurcation.

But the TDP is expected to face a big blow as reports claim that Kasani Gyaneshwar will likely take the ruling BRS route. It is said that Kasani Gyaneshwar was offered an MP seat. Talks are going on and the former MLC is expected to take a call on this in a few days.

If this happens then it is a big blow to the party as it cannot sustain without the chief. After the state bifurcation, the leaders in the party who won elections had switched sides and joined other parties leaving it as an orphan. Thanks to the presence of Kasani Gyaneshwar, the party is seeing some growth.

Amid this, it is being said that Kasani might leave the party for the ruling party. While there is no clarity about the reason behind this, TDP supporters in Telangana are shocked about this.

If Kasani joins the BRS, then the ruling party will have a big opportunity to pacify the Mudiraj community as not even one person from the community was given the ticket. A few leaders openly expressed dissatisfaction with this. It looks like the party took the call for the reason.

On the other hand, BRS would also have an opportunity to stop the votes from getting split. If the TDP won't contest here then the votes will not be split and the ruling party can stop the opponent parties from getting an advantage.
