For many years, now, the IT and software industry has been producing a large volume of jobs for the global population. In fact, the software industry has been generating the most jobs for any major sector over the last few decades.

But that could be a thing in the past as artificial intelligence is starting to take over the job sector and things are not looking very promising for the industry at this point in time.

The fundamental point to be noted here is that artificial intelligence is able to do all the entry-level jobs that are done by software engineers these days and that is creating a serious problem.

In fact, we are seeing companies firing thousands of employees regularly, and this is not happening at random either. Some of the biggest companies in the world, including Microsoft, Oracle, Apple, Amazon and others have been firing thousands of workers.

It is becoming increasingly evident that some of the biggest companies have started to lose their human workforce consistently and aligning with artificial intelligence.

At this rate, it must be kept in mind that human workforce could be facing severe consequences of the fast development of artificial intelligence in the software industry.

It is already being suspected that the younger generation might be losing out on job opportunities as artificial intelligence is capable of doing all the entry level jobs on itself. Indian IT experts are also commenting that software engineers might need to start saving up on money soon.

At this point, it can perhaps be argued that artificial intelligence could variable take over the complete job sector in the days to follow, and it is best practice for software engineers to be fully prepared for the same.
