Telangana Polls: BJP Focusing On Assembly Segment!

Election fever has gripped Telangana as the state will go for the much-awaited general elections in a few months. The major parties are busy drawing strategies aiming at the elections. While the ruling BRS wants to score a hattrick of wins that no other party had achieved in the south, the opposition parties Congress and BJP want to come to power.

However, it appears like BJP is a few steps ahead in this as it already has a strategy. As per the information that is doing rounds, the BJP would focus on the Assembly segment in the elections and the leaders would be made to run the Assembly elections.

The BJP has a few MPs from the state and they would also contest the MLA seats. The same would be the case with Kishan Reddy, who is a Union Cabinet Minister and was made the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party chief recently. The alleged decision should be seen as a daring one.

Candidates who are habituated to contest the MP seats would have to make a few changes to their strategies and approach if they have to run the Assembly elections. Though nothing is confirmed, reports say that a list was made which is now doing rounds on social media.

As per the information that is doing rounds, T-BJP Chief Kishan Reddy might contest from Amberpet, K Laxman from Musheerabad, Bandi Sanjay from Karimnagar, and Soyam Bapu Rao from Boath. While Raghunandan Rao might stick to his Dubbaka seat, Etela Rajender is likely to contest from Gajwel.

The key leaders in the BJP are asked to contest the key seats which would add more intensity to the polls. On many occasions, Etela Rajender said that he would contest against KCR in Gajwel if the leadership allows him. Keeping that in mind, he might have been named the candidate.

Though there is no official information about the list, it is said that this might be the final list and this is only the first phase. With the State BJP chief also likely to contest the Assembly elections, it appears that the party wants to fight the BRS on the ground first.

BJP has just 3 MLAs and the ruling party always mocks the saffron party on this. So the BJP might have decided to increase its MLA seats first and then take on the BRS. If the party can get more than 15 seats then it can have a strong voice in the house.

It is known that the BRS is trying hard to enter the big league of national politics and the party is making its move. On the other hand, BJP is said to be in plans to focus on the Assembly segment. While BRS wants to target BJP at the Centre, BJP is planning to take on BRS at the state level.
