Why is Telangana BJP in such great confusion?

Confusion is reigning supreme in Telangana BJP. It seems to be walking in all directions, including backwards. How else would one explain the party’s diffidence in admitting some leaders, who want to join the BJP? The BJP seems to be in utter confusion as to who to admit and who not to.

For instance, former minister Krishna Yadav was touted to be joining the BJP. In fact, Yadav began his politics from the BJP before going over to the TDP. After everything was arranged, there was no one in the BJP state headquarters when Krishna Yadav arrived at the party office to formally join the party. The party suddenly remembered his involvement in the infamous Telgi scam.

Ditto with Praveen Chikoti. The BJP knew very well that he was involved in organizing casinos and that he was facing serious cases. Yet, the party allowed him to join the party. He came along with a large number of supporters in a procession. However, the party leaders hurriedly admitted former minister Ajmera Chandulal’s son Prahlad and left the party office. As a result, there was no one to admit him into the party.

No one in the BJP knows why these decisions were taken. Why they were initially wooed and later turned down unceremoniously. Some say that the BJP was afraid of the fallout of admitting Chikoti. Yet others say that party state chief Kishan Reddy did not like Chikoti Praveen meeting Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, who is currently suspended from the party.
