Where are the politics of Andhra Pradesh being played? Where are the presidents of all the three major political players – the TDP, the YSRCP and the Jana Sena – currently? Where will the contours of the political alliances for the upcoming elections be finalized? The answer for all the questions is – New Delhi.

Yes. All the three key leaders are currently in New Delhi. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is already in New Delhi for the past two days to clinch a deal with the BJP. If all goes well, then there would be an alliance between the two parties. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who is the go-between for both the BJP and the TDP, too has reached Dehi. He is likely to help finalise the deal.

Meanwhile, YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too will reach New Delhi on Thursday night. Though official sources are claiming that he would discuss the progress of the Polavaram project and the state’s share in the revenues, he is likely to discuss politics with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Jagan has been a loyal supporter of the NDA alliance in both the houses of Parliament.

The BJP, meanwhile, is keeping everyone guessing. The TDP is hopeful that an alliance between TDP, Jana Sena and the BJP would be formed and seat sharing arrangements can be quickly made. Jana Sena too is trying to impress upon the BJP top bosses the need for putting up a united fight against the YSRCP. At the same time, Jagan too is making last ditch arrangements to ensure that this alliance falls through.
