He told big tech companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon to stop hiring people from other countries like India and China.
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 July 2025 1:43 PM ISTThe President of United States, Donald Trump has been taking a very problematic stand when it comes to immigration population and he has done the same now again. At the AI Summit in Washington on July 23, 2025, former U.S. President Donald Trump made a bold statement.
He told big tech companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon to stop hiring people from other countries like India and China. Instead, he asked them to focus on giving jobs to Americans. Trump said that many Americans feel left out because these companies have taken their work to other countries for cheap labor.
Trump also signed three new orders to boost America’s strength in Artificial Intelligence (AI). First, he announced a plan to speed up AI development in the U.S., including building more datacenters.
Second, he banned the use of “woke AI” in government-funded projects, saying AI should be neutral and not have political bias. Third, he said American-made AI tools will be pushed in global markets to compete with other countries.
These decisions could have a big impact on Indian tech workers, as U.S. companies might now reduce hiring from India. It may also affect outsourcing and tech partnerships. On the other hand, it may help increase jobs in the U.S. Trump said this is about putting America first and making sure the country leads in the AI race.
