US Takes Big Decision On AI Robocalls!

Artificial intelligence-powered deep fake videos are the current trend. However, it did not take much time to know that the videos are double-edged ones. What the deep fake videos can do was learned with this. Even the Superpower nation America was hit hard by these videos.

Earlier A.I.-Generated Robocalls were made in the name of Joe Biden. Ahead of the Presidential polls, calls were made urging voters to not vote for Joe Biden. These calls created a sensation back then. The calls impersonating the United States President is not a small thing.

Now the US administration took a big decision to deal with the calls. The Federal Communications Commission(FCC) came up with a big decision as the body decided to ban robocalls. The concerned orders were given by the commission on this.

F.C.C. chairwoman, Jessica Rosenworcel highlighted the threat that comes with the robocalls. She said that the fraudsters are trying to use the calls to spread misinformation and imitate celebrities. Having stressed the point, she said that there is a need to counter this.

The orders were issued by the FCC which will come into effect immediately. The companies and individuals were also warned and said that those who create and use the robocalls will be slapped with fines.

The US faced a big shock when the voters received phone calls urging them to not vote for Joe Biden. The shocking thing is that the calls were made in the name of the US President and gave a message against him.
