Due to being slightly overweight, she was disqualified. She did everything that is in her capacity to reduce her weight and her efforts did not give her a positive outcome.
The star athlete is waging a double fight amid the disqualification row. She had moved the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) with a petition to challenge her disqualification. The body said that it would take a decision on this before the ongoing Olympics end.

The petition is grabbing all the attention as she earlier sat in a protest against the alleged misuse of power by former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan. She and other wrestlers called for a protest against the then-chief and the protests created a sensation.
She was arrested and taken into the Police vehicle. The way the wrestler added fuel to the protests. The athletes said that they would immerse the medals they won in river Ganga. However, the farmer leaders urged them to not do so.
A few decisions the WFI took in the Olympics also turned controversial including the proxies. So she had knocked on the doors of the High Court. On two crucial issues, she waged a big battle. All eyes are on the petitions she has filed. There is a big anticipation over this to see what would be the outcome.
