As the elections are approaching in Andhra Pradesh, the political parties are busy announcing the candidates. TDP announced two lists already and Janasena announced six candidates so far. Bharatiya Janata Party which is a part of the alliance is yet to announce the candidates.

The ruling YSRCP which recorded a landslide win in 2019 is adamant about winning the elections. As the shot-in-the-arm efforts, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led party announced the candidates list. For the Assembly and MP segments, the candidates are announced.

Following the special justice formula Jagan gave good preference for BC, SC, ST, Minority, and Women communities. However, three candidates announced by the YCP became the talk of the town as they were fielded against three big names.

YCP went for the Women mantra to stop Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Nara scion Lokesh. Candidates are announced for the three seats.

Putting an end to the suspense Pawan Kalyan announced his candidacy from the Pithapuram seat. An MP was announced from the seat. Vanga Geetha who was with the PRP and TDP earlier was announced as the YCP candidate.

Hindupur is among the strong fortresses of the TDP. Earlier Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao represented the seat and Balakrishna holds the seat now. He won two consecutive elections and wants to record a hat trick of wins. To stop Balakrishna, YCP announced TN Deepika as the candidate. Many say that the community dynamics and others might help Deepika.

Nara Lokesh faced a defeat in 2019 from Mangalagiri. He lost the seat to Alla Ramakrishna Reddy with a small margin. Despite this Nara Lokesh picked Mangalagiri's seat. YCP announced Murugudu Lavanya as the candidate. She is the daughter of Kandru Kamala, who was an MLA from the same seat earlier.
