YS Sharmila Unhappy Despite Getting Election Symbol?

For some weeks we heard a lot of things about YS Sharmila. Reports said that she might merge her party into the Congress party and the talks are underway. The whole episode took an unexpected turn. There is no clarity on what happened and the possible merger did not happen.

As the merger did not happen, the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief took a tough call as she decided to go to elections alone. The party will not have any alliance with any party and it will go alone in the general elections.

Ahead of the general election, she was allotted an election symbol by the Election Commission of India. Her party was allotted the binocular symbol for the next elections. However, the party chief is said to be not happy despite getting the election symbol.

The political observers say that YS Sharmila might be unhappy. The reason behind this is there are no candidates to contest the elections. The known faces in the parties already left the party due to various reasons.

Popular Telangana Folk Singer Epuri Somanna who is the last known face in the party recently snubbed YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) and joined the ruling BRS. There are no other popular names in the party.

YS Sharmila is a popular face and there is no doubt about it. But without other leaders, she cannot do anything in the elections. It would be a huge embarrassment for her if she fails to get the candidates for the elections.

Sharmila said that her party would contest all the seats in the state. Looking at the developments, it appears that she would not be able to get the candidates to contest. These are said to be the reasons behind YS Sharmila being unhappy.
