It is known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was attacked when he was in the opposition. A person named Srinivasa Rao attacked him with a Kodi Kathi on October 25th, 2018 inside the Vizag Airport. The Vijayawada NIA court revealed some key details in the case.

The Vijayawada NIA took a sensational decision in the investigation of the Kodi Kathi case that happened against AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during the previous elections. The court heard the case on Tuesday and transferred the case to the Vizag NIA court. The Vijayawada court gave key orders in this regard.

Yes, the Vijayawada Court transferred the case to the Vizag NIA court. The next hearing was postponed to August 8th. With this, the further hearing in the case will happen in the Vizag NIA court only. However, the lawyer representing the accused raised a few objections.

Gagana Sindhu, who is representing Srinivasa Rao, objected to the decision of the Vijayawada Court. The lawyer said that around 80 percent of case hearings were finished and now the transfer happened.

It is known that on the 25th of October in 2018, Srinivasa Rao attacked the then-opposition leader YS Jagan with a Kodi Kathi. Jagan sustained an injury on his shoulder and was admitted to a hospital. The then TDP government handed over the case to the special investigating team in the police department.

However, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to record his statement saying that he has no trust in the agencies that are under the control of the state government. The YCP moved the High Court and sought a probe by central agencies.

With this, the case was given to the NIA on December 31st, 2018 following the court orders. NIA filed a case on the 1st of January 2019. Since then the case is being heard in the Vijayawada NIA court. Now the case was transferred to Vizag NIA.
