In the letter to the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, YSR Congress MP, Midhun Reddy wrote “Due to the negligence of the government, there also have been incidents of attacks by miscreants on Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's residence. This is not an isolated incident but appears to be a part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by the coalition government to curtail his movement even at the cost of putting his life at risk.”
It’s further added that such targeted actions of the coalition government keeping former Chief Minister's life at risk create a sort of panic among the public in general and set a dangerous precedent which is against the The recent visit to the Guntur Mirchi Market Yard exposed the alarming lack of security presence, despite prior intimation to the concerned, officials.
This negligence raises serious questions about the intent behind such a lapse, especially considering the fact that the Former CM has Z+ category protection by the central agencies. The present coalition Government of Andhra Pradesh has systematically downsized his security detail which has exacerbated the situation.

Now that the Jagan party has made a strong case for added security, it has to be seen if the central government will be lenient enough to grant the same.
