Can The 9 Guarantees Help The Congress In Andhra Pradesh?

Are freebies or schemes good for the state and country given the financial burden they cause is the big question currently. But the parties which are in favour of freebies are promising the same to the voters and coming to power. The grand old Congress came to power with the promises.

The Congress party bounced back by winning the elections in Karnataka and Telangana. The election promises it made under the guarantees played a big role in the party’s win. The Congress promises six guarantees including free travel for women in RTC buses. These promises are being implemented in a phased manner.

The Congress party is focused on Andhra Pradesh. YS Sharmila is the state chief now who is working hard for the party. YS Sharmila launched the ‘Gadapa Gadapa ki Congress Party’ program and under this, she announced as many as nine guarantees.

Nine Guarantees Of Congress for AP:

-Special Status for AP after the party is voted to power

-Varalakshmi Scheme(Women will be given Rs 8,500 monthly and 1 lakh for yer for poor women

- Loan Waiver For farmers up to Rs 2 lakhs

- Support price for farmers with 50 percent profit on investment

- Rs 400 minimum wage for the MNREGA workers

-Free education in the state from KG to PG

- 2.25 lakh job jobs will be filled in the state

-Pakka house for poor women worth Rs 5 lakhs

- Pension of Rs 4000 every month. No limit on the beneficiaries in a house

The promises have a big impact on elections. Now we have to see if the promises can help Congress or not. On the other hand, a few say that the political fight is very tough between the ruling YCP and the alliance and the Congress might not have much space.
