After secretariat, KCR wants twin towers for top officials

After the construction of the impressive and dazzling new secretariat for Telangana, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appears to have some other grandiose plans. This time, he wants to construct equally hep twin towers close to the secretariat. These towers would have several floors and would look quite impressive.
And what does KCR want to do with these twin towers? KCR wants to house all the commissioners and secretaries of various government departments in these buildings. The reason? To ensure that these key officials are located close to the newly constructed secretariat so that they are readily available when there is a review meeting.
As of now, the directors and commissioners are located in different places and are losing precious time in reaching the secretariat in case of emergency review meetings. KCR strongly feels that staying together close to the secretariat will help in bringing administrative cohesion in the state.
At a review meeting held on Monday, chief minister KCR has asked the officials to scout for the vacant government land close to the secretariat. The twin towers would be built on these lands. He also asked the officials to ensure the beautification of the Gun Park, which houses the memorial of the Telangana martyrs.
