The Union government presented the budget for the financial year a few days back. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the budget 2023-24 which received a mixed reaction from the political parties and experts. Many said that the majority of people will not benefit from the budget.

The ruling party in Telangana Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) slammed the budget and said that it was not prepared keeping all the aspects. They even said that the welfare schemes were not mentioned in this. So this made many eagerly wait for the Telangana budget to come to know how it will prepare the budget.

Putting an end to the waiting, the Telangana government announced the budget for the state for this year. Finance Minister Harish Rao tabled the budget in the Assembly house today with more than 2 lakhs and ninety thousand crores. The total state budget is Rs 2,90,396 crores. The Revenue Expenditure and Capital Expenditure stand at Rs 2,11,685 crores, and Rs. 37,525 crores respectively.

Agriculture – Rs 26,831 Crore

Irrigation – Rs 26,885 Crore

Municipal & Urban Development – Rs 11,372 Crore

Education – Rs 19,093 Crore

Health – Rs 12,161 Crore

Panchayat Raj – Rs 31,426 Crore

Electricity – Rs 12,727 Crore

Dalit Bandhu – Rs 17,700 Crore

Roads and Buildings Dept – Rs 22,260 crore

Industries and Commerce – Rs 4037 crore

Minorities Welfare – Rs 2200 crore

Backward Class Welfare – Rs 6229 crore

Animal Husbandry and Fisheries – Rs 2071 crore

Revenue Department – Rs 3560 crore

Tribal Welfare – Rs 3965 crore

Asara Pensions – Rs 12,000 crore

Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak – Rs 3210 crore

Rythu Bandhu – Rs 1575 crore

Rythu Bhima (Insurance) – Rs 1589 crore

Palle (Village) and Pattana (City) Pragathi – Rs 4834 crore

Crop Loan Waiver Scheme- Rs 6365 crore

Double Bedroom scheme- Rs 12,000 crore
