Any Ruling Party Collapses If Nellore District Sees Clashes!
X
The Nellore district has a special identity not only in combined Andhra Pradesh but in divided Andhra Pradesh as well. It is a different district Socially, Geographically, and politically. Nellore enjoys an inseparable bonding with Chennai as it stays close to Tamil Nadu. From a political point of view, leaders and public representatives are veterans. People here having a good financial status is a specialty of Nellore. Nellore has a good brand in agriculture too. Compared to the rest of the state, the agriculture works in Nellore begin lately. On the other hand, Nellore is famous for Aquaculture. Public Representatives from here shined in the Aqua field.

It produced a Chief Minister in the combined Andhra Pradesh. None from the 23 districts.. 3 North Andhra regions, Godavari Districts, Prakasham, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Hyderabad, Medak, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad districts became the Chief Minister.

However, a Nellore leader became the Chief Minister despite big competition. The veteran leader from Nellore Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy served as the Chief Minister of the combined state from 1992-94.

Venkaiah Naidu needs no introduction. After Nedurumalli, Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu's name is also associated with the Nellore district. Having started his journey as a common BJP activist, he rose to the Vice President level. He served as the BJP National President and Union Minister. His oratory skills need no mention here. The Anam family is a big family after the two leaders. In his early days, Venkaiah used to meet Venkata Reddy, father of the Anam brothers for political suggestions. Nellore district enjoys such a rich political history. There is another specialty.

If any issue pops ups in the Nellore district in the ruling party then it shows an impact across the state. For example, TDP which won the elections with a big majority in 1999 faced tough conditions by 2004. Nellore's Adala Prabhakar Reddy joined the Congress leaving the TDP. Congress won the 2004 polls with a supermajority. But 2009 saw different scenes. Situations changed by 2014 with state bifurcation.

The Anam Brothers who were in Congress joined the TDP. TDP won the polls with this. But Anam Ramanarayana Reddy joined the YSRCP in 2019. He won as an MLA. His brother Anam Vivekananda Reddy died in 2018. Everyone knows how YCP won the 2019 polls with a big majority.

But what happens now? Elections will be held in 2024. Elections will be intense this time. YCP is facing a negative sentiment in a few areas. Amid this, the Nellore district is giving a big shock.

Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy became a rebel and Nellore rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy joined him. These two incidents are big. The issues in the Nellore district changed the government and we have to wait and see what happens now.
