Yet again, Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy who is facing allegations in connection with the YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder case skipped the CBI interrogation. As per the schedule, he was supposed to appear before the officers for grilling today. However, he skipped the session and had written to the officers.
Media reports say that Avinash Reddy's mother fell ill and was rushed to the hospital in Pulivendula. Following this, Kadapa MP returned to Pulivendula. His lawyers reached the CBI office to inform the officers that the MP cannot attend the interrogation today as his mother's health condition is not good.
However, the CBI is said to be not happy with Avinash Reddy and is angry with him for skipping the sessions for the second term. They reportedly rejected the letter he had written saying that he cannot face the questions. This development raised many eyeballs. Now all eyes are on the CBI to see what it does next.
What we hear from the popular news channel is that the CBI officials might go to Pulivendula to nab him as he is not cooperating with them. If the CBI team arrests him then it would be a big development in the case so far.
A CBI Special Investigation Team (SIT) members reportedly left for Pulivendula via road. The media house also aired the visuals to say that the CBI officers are on the way to Pulivendula. Now we have to wait and see what happens next.
YS Vivekananda Reddy was found dead at his house in Pulivendula in 2019. This happened before the general elections and landed in political controversy. The parties also started a blame game on this. Initially, the AP CID probed the matter. Later, CBI stepped into the row with the fight of Viveka's daughter Sunitha Reddy in this. Her fight also resulted in the case, transferring to Telangana from Andhra Pradesh for a better probe.
After the case landed in its hand, the CBI is aggressively going forward and is grilling the accused in the case. Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy's father and aide were also arrested in the case by the investigating officers.
