Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first. In their innings, RCB managed to put a total of 145 runs on the scoreboard for the loss of six wickets, thanks to Virat's 50 off 43 deliveries.

While chasing a decent score, CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad who failed in the last match miserable, guided his team to win with 65 runs from 51 deliveries. This marks his first IPL half-century.
