Chandrababu alarmed at Jagans pro-active approach
X
Opposition leader and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu is said to have been taken by surprise at his arch rival YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's pro-active approach to the 2024 elections. He has already set a target of a clean sweep for the party cadres and is said to have begun reviewing the performance of the incharges and the sitting MLAs.

Not just that. Jagan is said to have announced that he would declare the names of the party candidates for the 175 seats on the basis of the surveys and the reports from the party's regional incharges. More than the YSRCP leaders, Chandrababu Naidu is said to have been alarmed by this development. He is surprised that Jagan has begun preparing for the elections almost 19 months before the actual elections.

In fact, the upcoming elections are extremely important for Chandrababu Naidu as this could be a make-or-break kind of situation for him. They could well be his last elections and if he does not come to power, his son Lokesh' political career too would be doomed forever. Hence, victory is important for Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP.

Unfortunately for him, while Jagan has already begun working for 2024, he is yet to sort out the differences among the key leaders in various assembly constituencies. For instance, leaders like Devineni Uma, Bonda Uma, Buddha Venkanna and Kesineni Nani are at loggerheads with each other. In Guntur, no one can say for sure if Galla Jayadev is in the TDP or not. Ditto with Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Vizag. Chandrababu is yet to address these issues, while Jagan seems to be way ahead in strategizing for the elections, Chandrababu seems to be light years away.
