Election Commission Shocks Pawan!
X
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan faced a big blow. He wants to play a key role in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh general elections and he is trying his best in forming alliances. Amid this, the Election Commission gave him a big hammer blow which is unexpected. Janasena's election symbol Glass Tumbler was added to the list of free symbols. This is a new tension for Janasena supporters.

Janasena party barely managed to win just one Assembly seat. Even party chief Pawan Kalyan lost the two seats from where he contested. As Janasena could not get the required votes and seats to retain the Glass Tumbler symbol, the election commission took the decision. With this, there is a big chance for independent candidates to get the symbol.

The Election Commission of India announced the registered national and regional parties. Eight parties got the national party identity and five parties were given regional party identity. Janasena party floated by Pawan Kalyan did not get recognition which is a big blow. Janasena party wanted to ally with the Telugu Desam Party for the 2024 elections and amid this, a shocking development happened.

The guidelines of the EC say that a party should get 6 percent of votes in the Assembly elections and two seats should be won. If the party achieves this then the party will get the regional party identity. Though Janasena got 6 percent of the votes, the party did not win two Assembly seats and this worked against the party. If the party would have won at least one MP seat the symbol would have been retained. But that did not happen. We have to wait and see how Pawan Kalyan responds to this.
