No matter what others are saying, the Andhra Pradesh government is banking heavily on welfare schemes. Earlier reports said that Andhra Pradesh is among the states that are taking borrowings in big numbers. It is said that the majority of spending goes into the flagship welfare schemes.

The government is continuing the schemes though the economy is not in a good shape. The third phase of Jagananna Chedodu was released today in Vinukonda and a massive event was held. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy graced the event and addressed the gathering.

At the event, Jagan made some interesting comments. Hinting at opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu and his pro media and Pawan Kalyan, Jagan said that Wolves are getting united and Lion is on one side. Saying that people are with him and that is enough Jagan said Lion will not fear the wolves.

Recently, Jagan Mohan Reddy is using such dialogues regularly. No matter what the occasion is he never misses to target the opposition leaders and the media that supports him. A Chief Minister attacking a section of the media at this level is the first time.

Many ask why Jagan is taking the names of the wolves if he is a Lion and is strong. There is no point in taking the name of weak opposition regularly. His comments and actions are contrasting with each other. He says he is not scared of the media but only a particular Newspaper gets the government ads.

Political experts say that the YSRCP leadership might have got a sensation that winning the next polls is not that easy. Though the government is implementing welfare schemes covering various sections of society, it cannot get the votes.

Development and employment creation are the need of the hour. But it appears that they both are not happening. While it is said that new companies are not showing interest to come to the state, the existing companies are leaving Andhra Pradesh. The Amara Raja company shifted its base to Telangana from Andhra Pradesh. Jockey also followed the same path and went to Telangana.
