The Tollywood industry is losing veteran actors at regular intervals. Weeks after losing versatile actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, Tollywood heard the shocking news of the demise of legendary actress Jamuna who created a special space for her in the industry. Jamuna breathed her last at her residence in Hyderabad.

The Tollywood fraternity and her fans are mourning her death and sending support to her family. To create a space for the Tollywood industry and people to pay tributes to Jamuna and bid the last goodbye, required arrangements are being made.

As per the media reports Jamuna's mortal demise will be shifted to Film Nagar Chamber from her residence at 2: 00 PM today. Her body will be placed in the Chamber till 4: 30 PM and then her body will be taken to the Maha Prasthanam at Film Nagar for her last rites.

The MahaPrasthanam is the place where celebrities are usually cremated. Legendary actor Superstar Krishna was also cremated at Mahaprasthanam. He was laid to rest with the state honours. The Telangana government announced that the last rites will be held with full state riots.

Following the same Jamuna's last rites would also be held at Mahaprasthanam in Film Nagar. However, there is no clarity on whether she would get the state honours as Krishna and Rebel Star Krishnam Raju received.

The members of the Tollywood industry and Political spectrum are also expected to reach the Film Chamber to pay last tributes to her. She is not just a film actress. Jamuna was also a politician. She entered the Parliament as a Lok Sabha member from Rajahmundry.

Jamuna has one daughter and one son. While her son Vamsee is a professor in San Francisco, her daughter Sravanthi stays in Hyderabad with her mother. In the same residence, Jamuna passed away.

After her family members and relatives pay her tributes to Jamuna her mortal remains might be shifted to Film Nagar. Jamuna's family has Kannada roots as Kannada is her mother tongue. Her relatives from the Kannada state are also expected to reach Hyderabad for the occasion to pay tributes to her.
