The report jointly released by International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the World Bank, and the World Health Organization (WHO) shed light on sensational things.

Another shocking thing is that to date, around 230 crore people are still dependent on Firewood for cooking. The bodies also mentioned a few other sensational aspects in the report.

As per their predictions, around 6.60 crore people would not have access to electricity by 2030. On top of this, around 190 crore people by that time would be dependent on firewood for cooking purposes.

Surprisingly, the United Nations aimed to bring modern fuel available to everyone in the world by 2015. The aim could not be fulfilled. Following this, the recent report expressed concerns over the world nations not moving forward to help the UN reach its aim.
