The bail petition of Gangi Reddy reached the Supreme Court. YS Vivekananda Reddy's daughter Sunitha moved the top court challenging the conditions the High Court imposed while giving Gangi Reddy bail in the case. The High Court gave the orders last month and said that he should be released on the 1st of July.

Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud heard the petition and diverted it to the vacation bench which will hear it next week. The defendants in the case were served notices by the Supreme Court.

Media reports say that the CJI expressed his shock looking at the orders of the High Court on Gangi Reddy's bail. As the petition was sent to the vacation bench, it will be in its hand to see what it says. Now all eyes are on the vacation bench to see what it will do on this.

Sunitha Reddy has objections to the conditions the High Court imposed while canceling Gangi Reddy's bail in YS Vivekananda Reddy's case. On the 27th of last month, his bail was canceled and the Court said that he should be released on the 1st of July. Sunitha Reddy did not like it.

She knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court. In her petition, she is said to have mentioned instances where Gangi Reddy misused the facility the court granted and stressed the points, she raised objections. Seeking orders on that she moved the top court.

During the arguments, the Supreme Court Chief Justice looked into the orders issued by the High Court of Telangana which says that Gangi Reddy should be released on the 1st of July. It is said that the CJI expressed his shock after reading the orders.

Earlier in January last year, the Supreme Court asked the High Court of Telangana to consider the merits of the CBI plea on canceling Gangi Reddy's plea. Hearing a petition filed by the central agency CBI, the bench of the Supreme Court made the comments. "The High Court judgment, which held that default bail cannot be cancelled on merits, will give a premium to the lethargy or dishonesty of investigating forces," the bench said earlier.
