Nagpur is the centre of the country. It is where the north meets the south. Nagpur is also the headquarters of the biggest voluntary organization in the country - the RSS. The Nagpur headquarters is where the RSS holds most of its crucial meetings and plans strategies for future. But, there could soon be a rival of sorts to the RSS in Nagpur. That rival is the Bharata Rashtra Samithi or the BRS of KCR.
Yes. The BRS would soon have a swank office in Nagpur. The building is being constructed and the party unit is now on a membership drive. The new building of the BRS would be inaugurated on June 15, according to the BRS sources. Work is now going on at a frenetic pace to complete the pending works of the Nagpur office of the party.
The ruling BRS is also upbeat at the number of politicians joining the party in Maharashtra. If the party sources are to be believed, several leaders from the lower level are showing keen interest in the party. The party sources also claim that a recent survey has shown that the party has the support of one per cent of the total population of Maharashtra.
The BRS considers this a significant achievement and feels that it can build on this good will. Already, KCR has addressed three public meetings in Maharashtra. The meetings were held in Aurangabad, Kandarloha and Nanded. A party office has already been set up in Nanded, sources say. The sources also revealed that the total membership of the party in Maharashtra has touched the 1.5 lakh mark.
