This MLA has become the laughing stock in AP

He began his career as a sarpanch and has gone through the political grind the toughest way possible. He had won twice as an MLA, first on a Congress ticket and then on a Jana Sena ticket. In fact, he is the sole MLA from the Jana Sena. Quite experienced and mature, but why is Razole MLA Rapaka Varaprasad making one unforced error after another?
Rapaka, who won on the Jana Sena ticket, later shifted his allegiance to the ruling YSRCP. Since then, he has been continuing as the associate of the ruling party. He has since been trying to cultivate friendship with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, it is in this urge to befriend Jagan that he has been making errors.
Firstly, he said that the TDP had offered Rs 10 crore to vote for its candidate in the MLC elections. When the TDP dared him to furnish evidence, he simply backtracked. His failure to accept the challenge has reduced him to a laughing stock. As if this was not enough, he had said at a private meeting in his native village that he had won because of the counterfeit voting by paid mercenaries.
This statement of his has created unprecedented furore. Realising his gaffe, the MLA has currently switched off his phone and is now inaccessible. But the damage is already done. The MLA has now become an object of ridicule not just in his constituency but even across the state.
