Cinema and politics are too completely different industries, but both of them enjoy a lot of public interest and attention at the same time. The interesting collaboration now is that we are seeing increased crossover of cinema and politics in the recent past.

The deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan started this revolution initially after his spirited fight in 2024, which resulted in him becoming the deputy chief minister.

Today, Pawan Kalyan has transitioned from a cinema star to politician, as he currently holds one of the toughest positions in the administration.

This is followed by the historic success in the Tamil Nadu politics as Thalapathy Vijay went from being a cinema star to a political star. In his very first election, Vijay was able to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu as his TVK turned out to be a pretty big deal.

Apart from that, we have Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is from DMK and he is the current opposition leader of the Assembly. The interesting observation is that he was also a film star before entering into politics.

Coming back to Andhra Pradesh again, we have Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is also in the Assembly as he represents the Hindupur Assembly constituency.

We have a bunch of cinema stars who are now active in South Indian politics, and this is an interesting crossover between the conventionally popular fields of cinema and politics. But at the end of the day, it will all come down to efficiency, and this is where the cinema stars must score big.
