Team Indias X-Man Hits The Ground!

Team India is facing good news one after the other. Recently, speedster Jasprit Bumrah turned available for the team. Now another key player hit the ground and was spotted playing a local match in Bengaluru.

He created wonders in Under 19. He earned an image of hitting single-hand sixes and winning matches with a single hand. He was given a call to the team. Though he faced issues initially, his place was cemented in the team. He has been filling the place of a match-winning wicketkeeper in the Tests. However, he met with an accident suddenly. We are talking about Rishabh Pant here.

He met with a shocking accident in December of 2022 as he wanted to surprise his mother on the new year. His SUV was traveling at a high speed and was destroyed in the mishap. Many felt that the chances of him surviving are very less. But he managed to come out of this and he sustained serious injuries.

He met with an accident last year. There was no clarity till yesterday on when he would return to the field. A few months back, videos of him walking on the steps and swimming went viral. But there was no clarity on when he would become fit. Now a video of him playing in a local match went viral. Cricket fans are happy with this. They are also hoping that he will join the Indian team soon. If everything goes well, then he might hit the ground in the coming February. He might also play for IPL.

Surgery was performed on his leg after the road accident. There were many fears around him as he is a wicketkeeper. Three months' rest was suggested for him with the surgery. He recovered quickly. Now he is at the Rehabilitation Center at the NCA in Bengaluru. Recently, Pant shared a video of opener KL Rahul and middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer on social media.

Big blow for the World Cup. The World Cup hosted in India is just 50 days away and he is not a part of the team. He was just 21 for the previous tournament. He surprised many as an emerging talent. Pant also produced good performances in the England series. But he might not be available for the WC. He will join the team for the England Test series next year.
