Bandi Sanjay getting ready for a showdown with BJP national leadership?

If you though that Bandi Sanjay has retreated to the background like a loyal soldier of the party, then think again. Not only is Bandi Sanjay not silent, he is also trying to assert himself in the party. If the goings on in the Telangana BJP are any indication, Sanjay is determined to protect his 'group.'

Sources say that Bandi Sanjay has already met Amit Shah and lodged a complaint that the new BJP team was marginalizing his supporters. He said that his loyal followers were being sidelined. Though groupism is not unknown in the BJP, a leader claiming that his supporters were being sidelined is quite unprecedented for the party.

Sanjay is also said to have asked Amit Shah to repeal the suspension of Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh. Singh was suspended when he made some disparaging remarks against the prophet of Islam. The party has not taken any decision on lifting the suspension. Interestingly, during his four-year term, Sanjay never really tried to lift the suspension of Raja Singh.

Sanjay group is said to be peddling the narrative that the BCs are disillusioned with the BJP after it removed Sanjay. They are arguing that the party has lost the support of the BCs due to the recent political developments within the party. The BJP national leadership is said to have taken a serious note of the activities of the Sanjay group.
