Pawan Kalyan’s son Akira Nandan has approached the High Court seeking legal protection of his personality rights, citing growing concerns over the misuse of artificial intelligence to create content using his identity.
In his petition, Akira Nandan has urged the court to order the immediate removal of AI generated images videos and other digital material that falsely depict him.
The plea states that such content has been created and circulated without his consent and poses a serious threat to his privacy dignity and personal safety. It further argues that the unauthorised use of his name likeness and appearance amounts to a clear violation of his fundamental rights.
The petition also seeks a permanent restraint on individuals platforms and unknown entities from creating publishing or circulating similar AI generated content in the future. Akira Nandan has emphasised that he is a private individual and not a public figure and therefore deserves a higher level of legal protection against digital misuse and online exploitation.
The case highlights growing legal concerns around artificial intelligence and deepfake technology especially when it involves children and young individuals linked to public personalities.
The plea urges the court to recognise personality rights in the digital space and set clear boundaries to prevent misuse of emerging technologies. The matter is expected to draw wider attention as courts increasingly deal with issues related to AI ethics privacy and identity protection in the online era.
