Anushka Sharma recently made a rare public appearance at a brand event in Mumbai, where she candidly discussed the challenges of parenting alongside her cricketer husband, Virat Kohli. Attending Slurrp Farm’s YES Moms & Dads event, Anushka opened up about the societal pressure on parents to achieve perfection in their parenting roles.

“There is so much pressure to be this perfect parent,” she admitted. “But we’re not perfect, and that’s okay. We’ll complain about things, and it’s fine to admit it in front of our kids, so they know we’re flawed.” This honest approach aims to alleviate the unrealistic expectations children may feel about their parents.

Anushka also reflected on how her social life has transformed since becoming a mother. She humorously noted, “I can only hang out with people who do the same, and that’s very few,” highlighting the lifestyle changes that come with raising children. Her candid remarks resonated with many parents who experience similar shifts in their social circles after having kids, as they often find it challenging to connect with friends who do not share the same parenting experiences.

A significant aspect of Anushka's parenting philosophy involves leading by example rather than giving direct instructions. She emphasized the importance of instilling values through actions, stating, “My daughter is very young, and I don’t think I can teach her anything directly. It’s more about how we live our lives.” Anushka believes that children learn best by observing their parents' behaviors, particularly when it comes to expressing gratitude and kindness in everyday situations. “For them to learn gratitude, they have to see you being grateful,” she explained.

In addition to her insights on parenting, Anushka Sharma is also preparing for her return to the big screen. After her last film, *Zero* (2018), she is eagerly awaiting the release of *Chakda Xpress*, a biopic based on the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. As she balances her professional commitments with motherhood, Anushka's reflections on parenting continue to inspire many, as she navigates the complexities of raising her children, Vamika and Akaay, in the public eye.
