Aditi Rao Hydari is the latest entrant to the #MeToo Movement. At the India Today Conclave South 2018 in Visakha, She admitted facing sexual harassment in the Indian Film Industry. 'When I entered the Industry, I wasn't even aware that casting couch exists. I was asked directly whether I would adjust or not. I choose to believe in my talent. After that, I had to remain work less for 8 months and even lost hope on getting offers again. My Manager and few people I know in the Industry stood supportive of Me during that phase,' she revealed.
The 'Antariksham' Actress claims to have made up her mind about the kind of work she should be doing after this bad experience. She feels #MeToo Victims should be allowed to open up about the harassment at their own pace.
With the two films of Mani Ratnam, 'Sammohanam' and 'Antariksham', Aditi Rao created a market for herself down South. The kind of roles she has been preferring are way too different from that of choices made by other Actresses. In that way, She carved a niche for herself.
